You have sent a proposal to a prospect at their request and set a time for a follow up meeting – which they agreed to. At the time of the meeting you were stood up and now 2 weeks have passed and the client will not return your calls after you have left 2 voice mail messages. What should you do?

 

  1. Use a multi pronged approach employing voice mail, email, direct mail and maybe even finding someone else in the company to talk to.
  2. Go over their head to their manager.
  3. Give up – clearly they weren’t interested.
  4. Keep trying to get them on the phone leaving more voice mail if you have to.
