  1. Gosh–I agree with the part about the importance of well qualified leads, but I can’t answer this because I have two additional questions:

    1) What other lead sources could (or should) be included among the five answer choices?
    2) Is there a “one-size-fits-all” answer that applies to every selling environment–or do different lead sources offer different lead quality, depending on the selling challenge?

    There are 1000’s of lead sources. I just picked the 5 that are most common in B2B selling. Or at least the ones that were top of mind for me in that moment. The ideas was really to pick the best of the 5. Come to think of it, even if I had made the list 100 choices long, referrals still would be at the top of the list. Simply they are always the best quality of leads. With referral selling I believe that yes, one size fits all. I have never met a business that does not benefit the most and derive the most profit from a referred lead above all other sources of leads. Simply they have the best closing ratio. Average sales cycles show a 1:75 closing ratio where as average referred lead cycles ar 1:6
